With servohydraulic cylinders, modular and customer specific test setups can be realized on a mounting plate.
Servohydraulic systems are used, whenever high loads (up to several hundred kilonewtons) are required.
Test frequencies of up to 60 Hz for operational loads and 300 Hz for sinusoidal loads can be realized.
Intelligent adaptaiton algorithms ensure the accurate reproduction of the target signals. Furthermore, online
monitoring of failure initiation and progress is possible. On demand, test setups can be realized for high
or low temperature tests ( -180°C ... 250°C).
With a servohydraulic test setup, uniaxial as well as multiaxial loads (e.g. resulting from vehicle measurements on a test track) can be reproduced. By reducing the load signals to the damage relevant content prior to the test, the testing time can be reduced significanlty. As feedback signals for the control, the loads, the cylinder positions or measured strains in the component can be used. With multiaxial setups and coupled cylinder kinematics, even very complex operational load cases can be simulated.
On the other hand using servohydraulics, especially the relatively simple uniaxial tests can be carried out in a cost-effective way. For many applications of this type, servohydraulic material testing machines together with custom clamping elements can be used.
